Margaret Ann Mason, age 68 years, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
Margaret was born on March 8, 1947 in Rochester, England and emigrated to Canada with her family. She was employed by the Lakehead Board of Education as an Educational Assistant until retirement. Margaret loved her job and the kids she got to work with. She was a caring woman, always there for those in need and helped anyone she could. Family was Margaret's true passion. She was a loving and devoted Mother and Nanny. Margaret will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her children, Ann Mason-Duke (Darren) and Jason Giertuga (Megan Lavallee); special granddaughter, Karina Mason-Landry; dear friend, John Mason; brother Bob Strange and sisters Patsy and Sandy Strange. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert Strange and Diana Chantler.
As per Margaret's wishes, cremation has taken place and no service will be held. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Everest Funeral Chapel, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
