Marjorie Helen Thatcher 68 years old of 1322 Stanley Ave. Thunder Bay passed away unexpectedly on Fri. Nov. 22nd. Marj was a Westfort girl all her life, born on Frederica Street, Sept. 10, 1956, when times were a lot simpler.
Marj never had a bike of her own, always borrowing her brother's bike, Tommy, Jim and Marty. Marj really enjoyed camping and fishing with her husband Jamie Buckley. It was not uncommon for Marj to bring 2 or 3 of her 7 cats, while out fishing with Jamie. Throughout her life Marj had served many beers and drinks at the Inntowner Bar and then became Bar Manager after working for 20 years. At the formerly named bar the Uptown.
Marj always had simple demands all through her life, never being extravagant. Marj will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
Marj is survived by her husband Jamie Buckley, brothers Jim (Nadia) Thatcher, Marty (Kris) Thatcher, nieces Lauren Thatcher Reinelt(Tyler), Jeanie Baldwin, nephew Matthew Thatcher (Aimee). Predeceased by her mother and father Margaret and William Thatcher, brother Thomas, and her in-laws Olga and Jim Buckley.
Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay."
