Martyn passed peacefully April 16th, 2018 in his 89th year. Married to Janet, they enjoyed 65 years together sharing many happy times with family and friends. Martyn retired from Vulcan Machinery and Equipment as Managing Director. He was very active in Port Arthur Gyro and enjoyed golf, curling and duck hunting with his many friends.
He was predeceased by his father Fred, his mom Inez and his grandson Mark. Martyn leaves behind his children to celebrate his life, Sandra (Dan), Bruce, Donald (Judy), Murray (Charlotte) and Keith (Mary). He enjoyed wonderful times with his grandchildren Danielle, Jessica (Tylor), Kaitlyn (Vince), David, Keighley (Scott), Erin (Harry) and Matthew (Amy). Great grandchildren Jacob, Anthony, Noah, Lucas, Morgan and Harrison. Many thanks to the staff at the Transitional Unit at Hogarth (Cedar) for all their care and compassion during Martyn’s illness.
Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held on Friday April 27, 2018, when family and friends will gather at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 11:00am with Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. officiating. Services will be complete in the church. If friends desire, memorials can be made to Brain Injury Services of Northern Ontario (BISNO). The Family wishes to thank our friends and neighbours for all their kindness and calls.
Martyn Tribe will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove. Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
