It is with sorrow that the family of Mathew Angus Quintin DePerry announces his passing on August 27, 2023.
Matt, as he was known, was a skilled handyman who liked keeping busy with odd jobs and helping others in need. He was a talented artist and his pencil drawings are treasured keepsakes to his family and friends. He could often be found cheering on his team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He was known for his large presence and a voice that could be heard from the neighbor's house!
He is lovingly remembered by his common-law partner Carolyn Hardy, his children Hope (Tom), Patience (Matty), Skyler, Tammi, Journey aka Jazelle, and Zavier, grandchildren Ryder, Paislee, MJ, and Sutton, siblings Lance, Mason, Shannon, and Feather, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Edith and William, and his brothers William and Robin.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 10am, at the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Long Lac First Nation. Online condolences may be expressed at www.sargentandson.com.
