It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we announce that our precious daughter Megan Alida age 26 has gone on to her last and greatest adventure to heaven, where she was welcomed in to the loving arms of God and all the angels, her maternal grandparents Eduarda and Francisco and her Uncle Dave Tavares and where she met her paternal grandparents Phillip and Harriette Bylund and cousin Murray Taylor for the first time.

She has left behind to cherish her memory and carry on her adventures her parents Douglas and Gloria, her sister and brother-in-law Alysia and Doug and her niece Mikayla Baysarowich and best friends since childhood Lauren Corner, Tonia and Michelle Gentile. She also will be deeply missed by her aunts Maria (Walter) Kolinski, Lourdes (Jack) Ypma, Phyllis (Bill) Taylor, Shirley (Mark) Rockery and her uncles John (Linda Bakker) Jacinto and Robert Tavares, Robert, Dave, Arnold (Cindy) Bylund and all of her cousins: Mike, Chris, Raymond, Sarah, Terrence, Shanna, Robbie, Stephanie, Ashley, Lloyd, Jason, Kenny, A.J. and Jessie.

Megan was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2013 and although the struggles were many she made the best of the time she had.

Megan never allowed the cancer to slow her down. She once said that if it wasn't for the cancer she probably wouldn't have done the things she had done. This is a testament to the strength and courage Megan had.

Megan loved to travel and when she was feeling well, Megan could be found at her laptop planning her next adventure (Trip). But the most memorable trip she took was to Universal Studios in Orlando with all of us as a last family trip. Memories made that will last us a life time.

We as parents were blessed to have such an imaginative outgoing child who grew to be an outgoing adventurous adult who never knew the word can't. She always made whatever she wanted to do possible.

Our love, you will be cherished every day of our lives. Until God calls us home we will send with you a piece of our hearts so you can always feel the love we have for you and how much we miss you. Godspeed our child.

Thank you to all who stood by us during this time. A heartfelt thank you to all the Doctors, nurses and all medical staff that took such good care of Megan. We are forever grateful.

A special thank you to Dr. Simpson who became Megan's champion in her palliative care.

Forget not that life is but a fleeting moment hold dear to your hearts the ones you love because you never know if it will be the last time you may have with them. Nothing else should matter than the time you spend together, invest in the love and family first everything else should come second.

Megan's last wishes were to be cremated after a private family viewing has taken place. There will be no funeral services held. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Megan's memory would be greatly appreciated.
