Mildred Mary (Millie) Wauhkonen, age 85, passed away on April 12, 2025, in Hogarth Riverview Manor. Born in Fort Frances, Millie was a minister
in Thunder Bay and dedicated her life to helping others.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Leo; her son, Rick; her daughters, Rhonda (Dave) and Rachel; and her granddaughter, Zoe. Millie is also survived by her sisters, Judy and Norma, as well as nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father, Henry, her mother, Helen, and her brothers, John and Bertie.
Our heartfelt thanks to the kind, compassionate, wonderful staff of Spruce Grove at Hogarth Riverview Manor, who cared for Millie in her final years. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
