Nicholas Bouchard

It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Nicholas Joseph (Neen N’ Jeckniece) Bouchard on April 30, 2017 in Gull Bay First Nations.

He loved playing horseshoes, watching hockey (Detroit Red Wings), visiting with friends and family near and far, he liked to travel and he sometimes gambled. He was a person that no one’s heard raise his voice or speak out of anger. Nicholas was a kind person, with his famous saying “let’s all get along”. He was very proud of his nieces, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He wasn’t a trapper or a fisherman, but he sure liked eating it. He worked security at Gull Bay First Nations Health Centre (tight security).

Nicholas is survived by brothers William Wilson, Cornelius Bouchard and Douglas Bouchard, sister Ida Bouchard, and many other family members. He was predeceased by grandparents Dominic and Mary Jane Wilson, and Julien and Kathleen Bouchard, parents Albert Bouchard and Florence Wilson-Bouchard, sister Florida Bouchard and many uncles and aunts.

Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, in Gull Bay First Nations beginning at 12:00 p.m. A private family visitation will be held over the weekend at his residence.
