Patricia Ann Clegg, age 87, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Saturday, April 19, 2025. While we mourn the loss of our dear mother, we rejoice that she is with the Lord Jesus in her heavenly home.

Mom was born in Windsor, Ontario on November 8, 1937. When her father remarried she eventually became the eldest of five siblings – Carolyn (deceased), Gale, Debbie, Darlene and Billy. All reside in Southern Ontario.

Mom and Dad were married in Windsor on September 21, 1957. The next several years were spent moving to various Air Force towns in Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario. In 1971 the Clegg family moved to Thunder Bay. Mom became an active member of Redwood Park Alliance Church and worked part-time for many years in retail at Sears, Tip Top Tailors, Please Mum, and Mary Kay Cosmetics. Mom also served as a hostess at McDonald’s on Arthur Street.

Over the years our mother enjoyed travelling, spending time with friends over coffee or a meal, reading, sewing, baking, walking (especially at the marina meeting dogs and their owners). Mom loved gardening and spent many hours making her yard look beautiful. Two volunteer positions were dear to her heart. Patients at the hospital often got a wild ride in the wheelchair to their physio appointments. Mom thoroughly enjoyed her role at Redwood Park’s food bank meeting clients for the intake process. The highlight of Mom’s week these past few years was attending the Women’s Wednesday Morning Bible Study at Redwood. She loved the ladies there and we really appreciate how they cared for Mom right up to her passing.

Mom was predeceased by our father Thomas Owen in 1986. She is survived by four children – Conne (Keith), Caren (Brad), Leslie, and Tom (Teri). Mom loved her grandchildren dearly: Jonathan (Terri-Lynn), Christopher, Tim (Becca), Jason (Jacqueline), Sean (Tori), Jamie (Marcus), Alaina (Matt) and Steven (Brittany). Mom was blessed with 8 precious great-grandchildren: Jenna, Owen, Mandy, Brooks, Mila, Ollie, Artie and Frankie.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 28 at 1:00 pm at Redwood Park Church, 2609 Redwood Avenue.

If friends desire, donations can be made to a local food bank of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
