Patricia Baltzer

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Patricia Baltzer after a sudden illness. Pat was born and raised in Sudbury, ON.

She graduated in 1972 from Laurentian University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She began her career as an RN in Chapleau, ON before moving to Thunder Bay in 1973.

She enjoyed a long career in health care both at TBDHU and McKellar Hospital until her retirement in 2003.

Pat loved to travel to places such as Hawaii, Mexico, California and Cuba as well as numerous weekend getaways to Duluth. In her free time she was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening and crafts.

She is survived by her daughter Samantha (Jason), son Casey (Emily), grandchildren Morgan, Nathan, Harriet and Lucy, and brother Robert Hammond of Sudbury, ON. She was predeceased by her parents George and Mary Hammond, brother William Hammond and her husband of 38 years, Charles. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are being held.
