Peter Nicholas Mazurski passed away peacefully at the age of 95 on February 6, 2016 with his family by his side.

He was born in 1920 in Fort William to Nicholas and Eva Mazurski.

Peter was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Monica Kashak. Peter leaves behind his children Mark (Judy) of Parksville, Marcia (Don) of Markham, Teresa (Brent) of Edmonton, Evalynn (Des) of Sydney, Australia, and Andrea (John) of Thunder Bay, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his loving companion, Jenny Wilchynski. Peter started his working life at the iron foundry then became a carpenter.

In 1962 he started working for the provincial government as a safety supervisor, later becoming the district manager in the construction safety branch of the Ministry of Labour.

He retired from working life in 1985 but continued building and gardening for many years.Peter enjoyed life at his family house on Highway 61 and at his camp at Graham Lake, with many happy hours spent fishing and picking blueberries.Prayers will be held at 6:00 pm, Tuesday February 9, followed by visitation at the Blake Funeral Chapel, South May Street.The funeral will be held on Wednesday 10 February, at 11:00 am at Holy Family Church, Rosslyn Road with Father Norbert officiating.

Peter Mazurski will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017.
