Raymond McKinley Graham, friend, Godfather, brother and loving husband to Ai-Ai passed away at the TBRHSC on June 3, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born on November 15, 1947 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Ray completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at Lakehead University before working at the Canadian Grain Commission as a Grain Inspector for 30+ years. After retiring from CGC, he continued working as a Walmart Greeter for 10+ years to keep busy. We hope that those who have had the opportunity to work alongside him remember his kindness, friendly smile, and funny laugh. Ray was known for always being reliable, loyal, and quick-witted. He always had a great story to tell you every time you sat to chat with him and had an impact on every person he came across.

Ray was a cherished member of his community. He was very involved with the Filipino – Canadian Friendship Society and Couples for Christ groups. Even though he was not Filipino, he immersed himself in his wife’s culture and made it his own. So much so, Ray and Ai-Ai would welcome and assist newcomers from the Philippines. He became an integral part of the society and its members. The FCFS and CFC community became his extended family, who will love and miss him dearly.

Ray was married to his beloved wife, Ai-Ai on March 8th, 1992 in the Philippines. Even though they did not have biological children, they became parental figures to many in the Filipino Community in Thunder Bay.

He is survived by wife, Ai-Ai; sister, Wendy; brother-in-law, Harry; niece, Laura; and numerous Godchildren in the Philippines and Canada.

Ray was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Dorothy.

Special thanks for the support of the friends who became family throughout Ray’s life and during this difficult time. Your love, prayers and compassion help to keep us strong.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life Mass on Monday, June 17th, 2024 at 3:00 pm in St. Agnes Church - 1019 BROWN ST - officiated by Fr. Marco Ladao. Immediately following the Mass, friends are invited to join the family in the parish hall for a reception and light refreshments.
