LAMBERT, RETA ILENE (nee McDonald) – Peacefully at Quinte Healthcare – Belleville on September 18, in her 95th year. Daughter of the late Harold and Evelyn McDonald (nee Spence). Loving wife of the late Donald Brian Lambert. Loving mother of Eva Touchburn (Ted), Edith Buchanan (late Jim) and Anne Clark (Owen), loving grandmother of 7, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother of many. Survived by her brother Rod McDonald (Evelyn) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Lavilla Coulter (late Don), Irene Harty (late Mike), Sharon Gaskell (Brian).
Reta was born in Murillo, Ontario in 1929 and attended #3 School until moving the Port Arthur. She worked at the Grain Elevators during WWII and then in the kitchen at PAGH. She married Don in 1948 and had 3 daughters. The family moved to Scarborough in 1961 and Reta and Don retired to Prince Edward County in 1992.
A Memorial Service was held at Burke Funeral Home Chapel in Belleville by Rev. Brad Beal on September 25, 2023 at 11 am. Reta’s Internment will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Thunder Bay late Spring/early Summer 2024. If desired memorial donations could be made to the Alzheimer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
