Mr. Riccardo Longo, age 88 years passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Riccardo was born on April 1, 1932 in Rose, Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy. He enjoyed maintaining and caring for his vegetable garden along with meticulously grooming his lawn and his home. He was well known for his superior wine-making skills and had a passion for growing hot peppers. Spending time and sharing stories with his grandchildren was the highlight of his life.
Riccardo will be lovingly remembered by his wife Raffaela, by his children Mario (Donna), Rosemary (Vince), Sonia (Rob), by his grandchildren Alyssa, Emily, Talia, Siena, Teo, Lucas and Matthew, as well as his brother, sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
Riccardo was predeceased by his parents Pietro and Rosaria Longo, brothers and sisters.
A private funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2021 with Rev. Luigi Filippini officiating. Those wishing to watch the livestream service may do so on the Sargent & Son Facebook page.
