Mr. Richard Shubaly, age 49 years, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 17, 2011.
Richard was born in Port Arthur on Aug. 30, 1961 and was a lifetime resident. As a young man Richard began working as a carpenter with his father's business Imperial Lathing and Acoustics where he continued to work until the time of his death.
Richard was a member of the Carpenters and Joiners Local no. 1669. He enjoyed snowmobiling and following NASCAR, especially his favorite driver Jimmie Johnson.
After the passing of his mother and sisters Richard took over the duties of looking after the family home and helping his father. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his father Bill, brother Rob (Tina), nieces Katie (Brad) Gauthier, Kerri, Kourtni and Paris, nephew Tanner, great nephew Jadyn, his beloved dog Thunder who never left his side, as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
He was predeceased by his mother Mary, brother Ron, sisters Judy and Janet and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 at 1 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Randy Boyd of Trinity United Church presiding.
Services will be complete in the chapel with interment to take place at a later date in Riverside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
