Robert (Bob) Wilson Crowe, 97 year old resident of Thunder Bay, died peacefully at home October 24, 2024. Robert was born January 2, 1927 in Fort William, Ontario, the fourth of six children of Margaret and Robert Crowe. He attended Ogden School, and although a very smart student Robert quit school and went to work to help support his family after his father passed away. Bob married Marjory Weaving June 8, 1946. Together they built a wonderful life and raised four children. Bob worked as a self taught meat cutter most of his adult life. He was also proprietor of Bob’s Confectionary, and worked as a grain sampler with the Grain Exchange. A proud military Veteran he also participated in the service organizations of the Lions Club International Foundation and The Loyal Order of Moose, and as a volunteer fire fighter. He took great interest in his children’s and grandchildren’s sports teams. As a young man and father he resided in Fort William, Winnipeg, Marathon, and Sioux Lookout returning to Fort William, now Thunder Bay, in 1963.
Bob enjoyed camping trips with his young family and travelling with Marjory enjoying road trips through Canada, the United States, and Mexico, and vacations in the Caribbean, Central America, and Great Britain.
Survived by his children Robert and wife Sharon, Ralph (Greg) and partner Donna Portelance, Richard, and Charlotte and husband Victor Ostap; grandchildren Lance, Erin (Kevin), Shawn, Christopher (Breeze), Rebecca (Glenn), Ryan, Sol, Simeon and Silas (Audriana); great grandchildren Cassandra (Jordan), Larissa, Amanda (Zach), Kayley, Alec, Darius, Katelyn, Chloë, Jeremy, Isaac, Celeste, Wilder, Billie May, and Danny; great great grandson Nolan, Sister-in-law Margaret Crowe and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Predeceased by parents Margaret and Robert Crowe, grandson Keith Jarvis, siblings Jack Crowe, Bill Crowe, Susan Little, Pat Crowe and Margaret Vignuda; mother and father in law Ada and Ralph Weaving, brothers and sisters’ in law Ray and Jean Weaving, Joan and Ken Dag, Ken and Olga Weaving, Pat and Don Andrews, Doreen Crowe, Peggy Crowe, Vernon Little, Peter Vignuda, Eleanor Crowe and Margaret Green Crowe.
