It is with deepest sadness we announce the passing of our father, Robert (Bob) McLeod. Bob was born in Blind River, Ontario to Fred and Arlene McLeod on April 13, 1958. In the early hours of September 10, 2022 he passed peacefully in his sleep at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
He is predeceased by his parents and his sister Heather (Louis). Bob is survived by his children: Kimberly Mitchell (Dave), Kristi Katch (Tim), Cara McLeod, Matthew Moore (Danielle) and Chelsea McLeod (Jean-Paul). Bob is also survived by his sisters Maxine (Lonnie), Cindy (Ron) and Janet (Gary), as well as his grandchildren, Jerryd, Carma, Kahaila, Elizabeth and Dawson.
Dad loved spending his downtime fishing, hunting, camping, and tinkering with anything that has an engine. He truly loved his job as a truck driver and driving all over the province hauling a large variety of things from wood chips, to heavy mining equipment. He also loved hauling across the ice roads of northern Ontario.
We would like to wish the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre ICU nurses and the Dryden Regional Health Centre ER nurses a huge thank you. What you have done for us cannot be put into words, and we are very grateful for your compassion and understanding. We would also like to thank Jimmy for being dad's friend over the years.
For celebration of life details and if anyone wishes to make a donation to the family please contact any of Bob's children. A celebration of life will be held October 29th, 2022.
