Roy McParland

With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Roy Frederick McParland, age 94, on Thursday, December 9, 2021 with family by his side. He was born in Port Arthur on October 7, 1927 but was raised in Westfort, remaining there until his passing.

Roy was a steamfitter by trade. He could fix anything. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and basement workshop planning his next project. He was happiest at home with his family. In recent months, Roy enjoyed his regular visits with family to the Marina for coffee and a donut.

We were blessed to have our Dad with us for such a long time. You did it your way, Dad. Your strength will stay with us forever. We love you and miss you already.

Survived by his wife, Ruth, children Debbie McParland (Vernon), Sandy Vibert, Bob McParland (Charlene), Ruth McParland, Angie McParland, Bill McParland (Andrea) as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his daughter and son-in-law Judy McParland and Dan Smith, Winnipeg, son-in-law Gary Vibert and granddaughter Kimberley Vibert.
