It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Russ after his courageous battle with cancer.
Russ was a caring man who touched many lives with his kindness. He had an enormous love and respect for nature and animals and gave the family dogs a life most dogs could only dream of.
He was a respected HVAC technician for Reliance Home Comfort and was a proud Union Steward who deeply cared for his union brothers.
Russ was a loving father to his children and grandson. He loved spending time at camp or getting together at the house for dinner.
He is survived by his loving wife Katherine, son Evan, daughters Nicole (Jamie) and Laura (Jason), and new grandson Hudson.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date where friends and family can gather to share stories and reminisce.
Our thanks go out to doctors, nurses and staff at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital and the Odette Cancer Centre in Toronto who cared for Russ during his journey.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
