It is with broken hearts that the family of Sarah Marie Glad announces her death on October 15, 2022, at the age of 32.
Sarah was born on January 21, 1990 in Terrace Bay, Ontario to Catherine and Danny Glad. Within two years, she was a big sister to Kathleen, and several years later, to her youngest sister Heather. She attended St. Martin's Catholic Elementary School, and Lake Superior High School, finishing her high school education at Westgate and St. Patrick High School in Thunder Bay. Sarah excelled at most everything she did academically, and her artistic and musical talents surpassed even that. She achieved her Elementary Grade 3 Royal Conservatory Piano, and spent time with her sister Kathleen attending Tae Kwon Do and swimming lessons in Terrace Bay in her younger years. Her artistic endeavors are treasured by those who received the works of art that she created. She loved and excelled at decorating for birthdays and holidays with her family, and made them all more beautiful and bright moments. She loved fishing with her dad, and playing video games with her sisters and friends, a true completionist and achievement hunter in life, and in gaming.
Sarah started working at Spencer's Gifts in her teens, and was chosen as Spencer's North American "Nicki" in 2009, representing that year's advertising campaign in photoshoots in Philadelphia. In later years she attended Sault College for hairdressing, and apprenticed at Studio West in Thunder Bay. In more recent years, her retail experience and knowledge found her returning to work at several local shops in various supporting and supervisory roles. Sarah was beloved by all she worked with and always went above and beyond for others.
Sarah welcomed her son Jace Ryan Warner into the world in February 2020, with her fiancé Jake Warner. She strove to be the best mom with their new little one, and loved her little boy more than anything in the world.
Sarah is survived by her precious son Jace Ryan Warner and his father Jake Warner, by her sisters Kathleen and Heather Glad, and her parents Danny Glad and Catherine Belliveau. She leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to mourn her loss. She was pre-deceased by her grandparents and her cousin Renée.
A Celebration of Sarah's life will be held at the Schreiber Legion Hall on November 5th, 2022 between 1-4 pm. A private interment of her ashes will be held in the spring of 2023.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to an account in trust for Jace through email to [email protected], or to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Thunder Bay Branch, or a charity of your choice.
