Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise: be thankful unto Him and bless His name. - Psalm 100:4

Mrs. Shirley Fron (nee Perry), was ushered into the Lord's presence on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, following a vaillant battle with cancer.

Shirley was born in Fort William, Ontario on September 1, 1933 to Kenneth and Ethel Perry. Mom married Albert Fron in 1952 and together they raised four children: Brian, Cindy, Margo and Nicole. She was also a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandsons.

After Nicole entered elementary school, Mom went to work for the Salvation Army Family Services Department, serving families in need for 16 years. In recent years, Mom enjoyed countless volunteer hours at “Twice As Nice.” She loved making crafts and was passionate about sewing and knitting. Shirley's family was her greatest joy, as was her love for the Lord and serving in her church.

Mom will be deeply missed by her children: Brian, Cindy (David) O'Dell, Margo (Brian) Russell and Nicole; grandchildren Graham (Lindsay), Trevor, Kyle (Kelly), Adam (Mackenzie) and Breanne Fron, Megan (Elijah) Francis, Kylee and Craig O'Dell, Brady, Deidre and Danae Russell and her seven great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by her brothers Eric (Tillie), Gordon (Olga) and Ray (Eva) Perry, and one sister Tillie (Tom) Bell, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 2005; her parents, sisters Mabel (Jimmy) Mark and Effie (Erling) Erickson.

A heartfelt thank you to Mom's family physician, Dr. G. Exley, together with Dr. A. Migay and the wonderful staff of St. Joseph's - 4 North who cared for mom these past nine months. You are all blessings to your profession.

A Celebration of Life for Shirley will be held on Monday, February 22, 2016 at 3:00pm in the Westfort Baptist Church. A private family interment will take place in Mountainview Cemetery prior to the service. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Shirley to Samaritan's Purse or St. Joseph's Hospice would be greatly appreciated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
