TOBY-ANN PERNA
July 3rd, 1969 – December 17th, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Toby-Ann Perna, aged 54, announces her sudden passing on December 17th, 2023, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario. She was born July 3rd, 1969, in Kapuskasing, Ontario to Ronald and Judy Trudel. In 1991, she moved to Thunder Bay and later found the love of her life, Angelo Perna, in 2003. They married in 2005 and shared 18 years of marriage together.
Toby will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and her personal commitment to helping others. She was co-owner of Golden Bakery & Pizza Ltd and a proud Avon consultant. Whenever she could, Toby loved to spend time out at camp in Shebandowan with family and friends. She loved to sing and was always the life of the party. Everyone will miss her warm smile and kind heart.
Toby is survived by her husband, Angelo Perna, children Kiera (Bailey Alfieri) and Giuseppe (Pep), her mother Judy Trudel, her twin sisters Nadine Trudel and Francine Fortier (Mark), her many nieces and nephews in Canada and in Italy, as well as her beloved pets Panda, Bella, Ronnie, Tiger, Olaf, and Fusion. She was predeceased by her father Ronald Trudel.
There will be a viewing and prayers held on Thursday, December 21st, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:30PM at the Everest-Westfort Chapel (420 Gore St W, Thunder Bay, ON). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 22nd at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church (1019 Brown Street), followed by a reception at the Da Vinci Centre (340 Waterloo St. S).
