Mrs. Vera Negley (nee Schutte), age 71 years, passed peacefully in Calgary, Alberta on Saturday, December 18, 2010.
Vera attended Slate River Valley Public School and Selkirk High School. She married Cliff Negley on October 29, 1960 and was employed with Bell Canada before the birth of her daughter Kelly. She then worked at Westmount Hospital, retiring after thirteen years at age 55. Vera enjoyed knitting, gardening and baking. Her home and family were her main interests.
Vera is survived by her husband Cliff of 50 years; daughter Kelly; step-sons Calvin and Kevin; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and sisters Velma, Joan and Jean.
Predeceased by her parents Edward and Myrtle.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Vera Negley will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 24, 2010 in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 Gore St. West at James with Pastor Neil Otke of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment to follow in Mountainview Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 PM in the Westfort Chapel.
