The family of Vincent (Vince) Diana would like to announce his peaceful passing on April 15, 2018.
Vince was born November 22, 1925 and spent the majority of his life on his family farm in O’Connor Township. On August 5, 1946 he married Catherine (Kitty), the love of his life.
Vince was a strong and well-respected man. He loved music, dancing, and appreciated a rugged sense of humor. He was a hard worker because of his devotion to provide for his family. Vince was loved and admired by many in the community and is remembered for his many years as a school bus driver, being a member of the Kakabeka Legion, and sharing his harvests with friends and neighbours. Even though his time was consumed by his farm and gardens, Vince always enjoyed a good chat, a good laugh, and a bottle of beer!
Vince will be missed and forever loved by his four children: Patricia Douglas (Warren), Cheryl Kay, Lynn Diana (Claude), and Peter Diana.
His Grandchildren: Andrew (Kim), Richmond (Cathy), Dawn (Carlo), Jayson, Amanda (George), Samantha (Dave), and Shayna (Justin).
And his Great Grandchildren: Paige, Lindy, Christopher, Daniel, Cassidy, Ethan, Averie, Althea and Great Great Grandson Payton.
Vince is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Emma, brother Siro, and sisters Olympia (Mickey) and Norma, and his beloved wife Catherine.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 28, 2018 from 1 – 3 p.m. at O’Connor Community Centre. A luncheon will be served.
If desired, donations in Vincent’s memory can be made to Royal Canadian Legion (Kakabeka Falls) Branch 225.
