It is with great sadness that the family of Wendy Fenton Bodnar, age 80 years, announce her peaceful passing on Thursday, January 6, 2022.
Wendy was born on June 20, 1941 in Glasgow, Scotland to William Bodnar and Minnie Fenton. She came to Canada in 1942 and worked as a Legal Secretary for over 40 years at Weiler, Maloney, Nelson. She married Allan McFarlane in 1962 and they had three children. Wendy was most proud of her three daughters and her large family, being one of fourteen siblings. She spent many years fishing and travelling with her soul mate John Dubick who predeceased her in 2005. She was an avid reader and had a keen interest in genealogy.
Wendy is survived by her daughters, Danielle Mattiello (Loris) and Toni Breuer (Greg Ingraham); son-in-law Daniel Pilon; siblings Bill (Grace Duffy), Brian, Michael (Sylvia Hunt), Bob (Brenda Dodge), Ken (Corrine Wood), Bonnie, Ian (Jo-Ann Kerkermeier), Elizabeth (Dennis Kearney), Rodney (Elizabeth Drazecky), Stanley (Paulette Staehnke), Sandi (Allan Laporte), Fiona. Dear grandmother of Ricky, Sarah, Brenna, Ethan, Conor and Willow. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews as well as great-great nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends. Wendy deeply missed her daughter, Allana, who predeceased her in July, 2021.

A private family graveside service for Wendy will take place in Mountainview Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her memory to The DEK Foundation.
