William Keeler

It is with heavy hearts after a lengthy and courageous battle that William (Bill) Douglas Keeler of Thunder Bay ON has passed. He leaves behind his best friend and wife Lucille (Fenez) after 50 years, along with his children Cory (Kelly Hodges) sons Matthew and Benjamin, residents of Thunder Bay ON; Andrea (David Klukie) daughters Maya and Madison of Cochrane, AB: and Kelly (Kurtis Krotenko) sons Jackson and Wil of Canora, SK., sister Betty Wilson of Grande Prairie, AB (Karen/Jim Deck, Cheryl/ Steve Matthews, Danny and Connie/Gary Shillington); sister-in law Denise (Fenez) /Marion Sieradzki of Kenora ON (Michelle and Jennifer); sister-in-law Elaine Fenez of Wpg.

Predeceased by his parents Martha Ann (Elson), Thomas Lealand Keeler and brother Robert.

Bill joined the RCMP at 18 years, and through one of his numerous postings he met the “love of his life” Lucy! After retiring from the RCMP he relocated his family to Thunder Bay. He worked at Lakehead University from 1980-2009 as the Facilities Supervisor & Intermural Coordinator. Bill’s number one love was his “FAMILY”, and he always put them first! Often seen watching their basketball, hockey or soccer games...it was obvious he was their biggest fan! His favourite past times included watching the “games” with his son Cory. It did not matter if it was Celtics basketball, golf, Blue Jays Baseball, or Pittsburgh Steeler football; Bill just loved spending time with his family and friends.

Your wings were ready…
But my heart was not.
