CALGARY – Carter George’s off-season continues to be a busy one.

The 18-year-old goaltender from Thunder Bay, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the second round of the National Hockey League draft in June, has earned an invite to Hockey Canada’s national junior summer camp.

The camp, which runs from July 28 to Aug. 3 in Windsor and in Plymouth, Mich., is the first step in determining Canada’s squad for the 2025 World Juniors.

George, who is gearing up for his sophomore campaign with the Ontario Hockey League’s Owen Sound Attack, has represented his country on two occasions.

He captured a gold medal at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup last August and followed that up with another championship at the IIHF World Under-18 Hockey Championship in May, where he was also named the tournament’s top goaltender.

The other goalies that will be at the camp are Carson Bjarnason of the Brandon Wheat Kings, Scott Ratzlaff of the Seattle Thunderbirds, and Joshua Ravensbergen of the Prince George Cougars.

All three netminders play in the Western Hockey League.
