LOS ANGELES – Carter George is now officially a member of the Los Angeles Kings.

The 18-year-old netminder signed an entry-level contract with the National Hockey League club on Thursday.

The deal has an average annual value of $875,000 and runs through the 2026-27 campaign.

George was the 57th overall pick by the Kings during last month’s NHL draft in Las Vegas.

After being selected in the second round, he travelled to El Segundo, Calif. for the Kings’ development camp.

George, who will be attending Hockey Canada’s national junior summer camp in Windsor and Plymouth, Mich. next week, is expected to return to the Ontario Hockey League’s Owen Sound Attack this fall.

In his first full season in the OHL last year, he compiled a 23-21-6 record with a 3.30 goals against average, a .907 save percentage and four shutouts.
