I would like to nominate Micheal Quibell for a Holiday Hero award.
Michael Quibell is the Executive Director of the Dew Drop Inn here in Thunder Bay. He is a dedicated employee that always shows care, compassion and concern for all people. His dedication to making sure that no one goes hungry is a true testament to his character. His attitude is always a positive influence to his staff and the volunteers that he sees each and every day.
Michael is well aware of the struggles that people face each and every day. A good meal is served to the patrons without judgment. Everyone is respected and welcomed at the Dew Drop Inn. Michael has dedicated over 9 years of his life to helping others at the Dew and continues to do so even when times are tough. He is in the community always looking for ways and means of obtaining funding for our ever needing food program and making the best use of our donations to help others who have struggles daily.
He works along side with our staff and volunteers and will always see him around the Dew doing cleaning, unpacking donations, cooking, and any jobs that need to be done. He is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it is needed and seeks input on ideas to improve on what is happening around the Dew.
Michael is also a great baker and will bring in goodies for everyone to have a taste of his wonderful treats and deserts.
I am so blessed and privileged to work with this man as he is a person of sharing and caring his many talents and does so without judging you but letting you learn from your experiences and move forward to use your ideas and thoughts to make a positive mark on the lives that you meet daily.
