NEW LISKEARD, Ont. – Team McCarville only needed six ends to dispose of Laura Johnston’s rink in Draw 4 action on Thursday at the Northern Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

Skip Krista McCarville orchestrated steals of two in the second end and three more in the third and cruised to a 9-3 win, the two sides shaking hands with four ends left to play.

The win upped McCarville’s record to 2-0 and set up a Friday morning match against unbeaten Krysta Burns of Sudbury.

Burns jumped to 3-0 on Thursday afternoon, scoring two in the ninth and stealing another point in the 10th to edge hometown skip Amanda Gebhardt 9-6.

On the men’s side, Sudbury’s Sandy MacEwan and Sault Ste. Marie’s Brad Jacobs, the defending champion, are at 4-0 heading into a battle of the undefeated on Friday morning.
