Winger Jake Carrick commits to Thunderwolves

The Thunderwolves have grabbed winger Jake Carrick. Stoufville Ont.’s Carrick played over three seasons for the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds before being traded to the Windsor Spitfires last year.

Stoufville Ont.’s Carrick played over three seasons for the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds before being traded to the Windsor Spitfires last year. He scored 23 goals and 22 assists in 58 games last season with another 16 points in 18 playoff games with the Spitfires.

Carrick, who stands 5-foot-11and 180 pounds, also picked up 583 penalty minutes over 262 games in the OHL.

His great-great grandfather was J.J. Carrick, former mayor of Port Arthur and MP from 1911 to 1917.
