THUNDER BAY – For as long as Rebecca Estey can remember she has always helped our furry friends in one way or another.
Estey has spent countless hours volunteering for various dog rescues around the city until launching her own rescue, Thunder Dog Rescue, in April 2016.
She wanted to create a rescue that focuses on the care and placement of pregnant dogs and their litters especially since there’s a desperate need for more dog rescues in the region.
These animals mean the world to Estey and no matter what the circumstances are she has devoted her life and her home to each and every one of them.
Her door is always open especially when local dog rescues are too full. She takes in who she can and gives them another chance at life.
Estey’s goal is to give back to the animals so they can make a difference in someone else’s life.
