THUNDER BAY -- Local volunteer group, The Green Dream Team, is striving to make Thunder Bay a better place for those in need.
These volunteers have spent countless hours cleaning up city streets and have recently provided another option for finding an extra meal and added warmth during the winter season.
The group has built two blessing boxes, which are filled with non-perishable foods, mittens, toiletries and hygiene products for anyone who may be in need.
They won’t be stopping anytime soon. The volunteers plan to install six more boxes throughout the city.
The group’s volunteers all share the same goal. They want to make sure Thunder Bay is a safe city for those who live here by cleaning the streets, providing for those in need and even handing out chocolate during the winter months.
