Fans of the Cubano are going to want to try out the Tony Montana from Beefcakes Burger Factory this November.
The classic Cuban sandwich is made with roast pork and ham, and Beefcakes has added a 4-oz beef patty to that mix.
That's piled on top of a garlic butter toasted kaiser roll, with house-made pickles, picked banana peppers, a house made mustard and shredded lettuce. Both mozzarella and a mild Swiss cheese are melted over the meats.
Meat-on-meat-on-meat is a combination that can easily get too heavy, but with the sharpness of the pickles and mustard cutting through, it all balances out very nicely.
This is a very solid burger.
Served without a side, it comes to $15 before tax or tip. $2 from the purchase of this and every Novemburger goes to the local United Way.
Beefcakes Burger Factory is located at 481 Hodder Ave.
