The Gateway is offering up a tasty option for those pickle lovers in the community.
The Crispy Pickle features a 6oz patty made from local beef, Monterey Jack cheese, dill pickles, and seasoned cactus cut chips with a creamy garlic dill aioli. All topped with lettuce, tomato, and red onion… and a deep-fried pickle.
Now... the burger is quite a mouthful, especially with the crispy fried pickle skewered on top, but those who smash it down to size are in for quite a treat.
The patty has a great texture which pairs well with the crunch from the cactus cut chips and the aioli ties them together well… though it could stand to have more dill flavour. The burger is a bit drippy so be sure to keep a napkin or two on hand!
The burger costs $18.50 plus tax and also comes with a side of fries and has a vegetarian option.
