The LU Outpost buttered up all its customers this Novemburger season, by creating a cultural collision with its Butter Chicken Burger.
The burger combines the Indian restaurant staple butter chicken with a classic North American burger. A garlic and ginger marinated chicken breast is tossed in house made butter chicken sauce, topped with crispy sev (small crunchy noodles) and cucumber raita (flavoured yogourt sauce).
The burger was messy, but flavourful. The chicken was cooked to perfection – moist and tender.
The flavours blended together for the best butter chicken burger.
The sauce almost reminded me of a chili. It had minimal spice, but all the right tase to leave you wishing they’d sell it year-round.
This is not exactly a burger, but when it tastes so good how can you complain?
This Novemburger comes at a cost of $13.50 before tax and tip.
For every burger sold at a participating restaurant this month, the United Way of Thunder Bay gets $2.
The LU Outpost is located inside Lakehead University, at 955 Oliver Rd.
