After driving all around Thunder Bay to enjoy burgers throughout the last month, my final stop for Novemburger brought me to downtown Fort William.
Over at Monty’s Joint is The United burger, which might have you thinking that it’s a tribute to a soccer club.
Instead, it’s a burger with all the fixings.
The six-ounce beef patty is made in house with chuck beef and brisket and is seasoned with what the restaurant describes as “a little bit of Caribbean heat.”
There’s also melted provolone cheese, char-grilled caramelized onions, lettuce and tomato slices in between the buns, which have been brushed pesto aioli and drizzled with a secret house sauce.
On first bite, there is a little of a spicy kick but it’s nothing that’s too overwhelming and will have you rushing to take a swig of your beverage.
In terms of bang for the buck, this is probably one of the better ones that you can get this weekend.
The United burger costs $16.50 before tax and comes with a side of fries.
Monty’s Joint is located at 513 Victoria Ave. E.
