The Prospector Steakhouse/Brew Pub's entry in the 2024 Novemburger competition, the Brew Pub Wild, doesn't disappoint.
The restaurant has enhanced the familiar Prospector burger patty by adding a second one along with house-made jalapeno cream that gives it just a slightly zesty taste.
Prospector's own description "the spice is more flavour than heat" is bang-on.
In fact, some diners might welcome even a little more cream.
Combined with ranch dressing, marbled cheddar, lettuce, a pickle and a generous amount of crispy bacon, this is a burger that satisfies the palate.
It's served on a tasty, soft, fresh-made bun.
Not that it needed anything to boost its appeal, but when the server brought the Brew Pub Wild to our table, we were impressed with the presentation.
It was accompanied by arugula and a generous side of fresh-cut fries.
This Novemburger comes at a cost of $22.00 plus tax and tip.
For every burger sold at a participating restaurant this month, the United Way of Thunder Bay gets $2.
